Stationary Wishlist

Ever since I can remember I've been obsessed with stationary. Pens, pencils, rubbers, books…everything! When I was at school, my favourite part of the year was going to WHSmith to buy a new pencil case and filling it with things from Woolworths.

Now, I look longingly in shops at all the pretty things.  I could spend ages just wandering round Paperchase and WHsmith, pointing at things going "I want that, I want that too!". I also spend a long time looking online to find gorgeous things I can admire but never buy as I have *too* much already. I've got a few bags stuffed with old pens and bits in my loft, but I just can't bring myself to throw them away, especially the cute pencils with my name on them!

Here's a few things I'm loving this month.

It's national stationary week 27th April - 3rd May 2015, so head over and get involved!

What are your favourite stationary items? Do you remember any from your childhood?

Twinings Camomile Tea

I am a huge tea fan. I almost always have a cup of tea in my hand… and any type of tea too. There's just something about it that is really relaxing, especially after I've had a stressful and busy day!

Recently, a colleague at work had a really lovely smelling tea. I asked her what it was and she said it was camomile and honey, and offered one of her teabags to try for myself. It was wonderful!

Camomile has been said to have relaxing qualities, which is perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. So last week I popped down to my local Tesco and got two different packets.

Twinings Camomile with Spiced Apple
Twinings Pure Camomile

Spiced apple, with cinnamon: 2 for £3 in Tesco

I decided to add a scoop of Manuka honey and a slice of lemon. I have sliced lemons in my freezer as I have hot lemon water in the morning with my breakfast as a daily 'cleanse.' I prefer it this was as I think it makes the flavour more intense.

Manuka honey: £12 in Tesco.

Both of these flavours are wonderful. I definitely think the addition of spiced apple works well and you can taste it in the tea, its not too over powering and I really look forward to drinking it while catching up with TV or reading a good book.

Here's a picture! I know it looks a bit murky but that's just the honey that's coloured the water. It really does taste better than it looks!

About me

Hello!

Just a quick first post letting everyone know what this blog is about.

I'm 24 and live in the UK. Currently working as a Teaching Assistant in a year 3 class.

I love freebies, bargains and hunting around for good deals. I'm obsessed with charity shops and a good car boot!

I enjoy baking, so you'll see pictures of things I've made (or attempted to make at times!)

So I hope you enjoy it!
